I am writing to request your financial support to provide critical psychological services to the students of the Kharkiv Musical Lyceum in Ukraine. For over three years, these children, ages 6 to 15, have been experiencing tremendous trauma caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing Russian bombing of their city.
Deprived of vital social contacts and performance opportunities, the school children are under severe strain. Due to daily shelling and online learning, the children are deprived of a sense of normalcy and community. The constant threat of airstrikes inflicts psychological wounds. These young music students are demotivated and emotionally traumatised.
Your donation will provide access to professional counsellors to help these vulnerable children deal with their psychological problems. With expert counselling, they will be able to begin to heal and regain their mental health. Your compassionate support will rekindle their motivation and give them hope during these darkest days.

Why talented children of Ukraine need Psychological support
Lack of opportunity to perform in concerts and competitions
Due to the pandemic and the war, Ukrainian music students have not had the opportunity to perform for almost three years. This demotivates and traumatises children.
Lack of offline education (Kharkiv)
Students of the Kharkiv Musical Lyceum aged 6 to 15 in Kharkiv and the region study at the school only online.
The reason for this is the impossibility to attend school under daily shelling.
Psychological problems
For more than two and a half years, children have been losing their socialisation, are under constant stress due to air raids, and have suffered psychological trauma from the constant danger of bombing.
